The southern Los Angeles neighborhood of Watts is a densely packed, diverse suburb with a flair for the arts. The community’s calling card is the collection of towers known as the Watt’s Towers, or Towers of Simon Rodia, depending on who you ask. These structural sculptures were named a National Historic Landmark in 1990, and have inadvertently made Watts an unsung center for arts and culture.
