ArtLofts is a purpose-built work/live development created by artists for artists. One resident per household is required to be a working artist or a student who is also a working artist and must be approved by the City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission... and receive an Artists Occupancy Permit. All individuals whose primary occupation includes one of the following qualify:

Visual (painting, drawing, sculpture, book arts, printmaking & mixed media),

Imaginative (literature, poetry, photography, music composition, choreography, cinematography & computer arts),

Functional (metal, textiles, paper, wood, ceramics, glass, and/or plastic objects),

Performing (singers, dancers, musicians, actors, performance artists; costume, lighting, sound & set designers)
